Religious Freedom World Report

Prepared by the International Coalition for Religious Freedom

Equatorial Guinea

The government generally respects freedom of religion. There is no state religion, and the government says it does not discriminate against any faith. The Catholic Church is favored in some respects. The Ministry of Justice must first formally recognize a religious organization before its practice is allowed. There has been some restriction on clergy regarding criticism of the government.
