The Constitution of 1976 provides for freedom of thought and religion, freedom to change religion, and freedom to manifest and propagate one’s religion in public or private. Religious communities are entitled to maintain educational institutions. The constitution provides for every religious community to provide instruction to members of its faith attending any school in Trinidad and Tobago.
